Tourism and cultural activities
La Médina complex in Agadir and the Kasbah Aghennaj in Tiznit are two heritage gems that capture the history and cultural essence of Morocco. Both initiatives reflect a commitment to the preservation and promotion of regional heritage, but also highlight the challenges and obstacles encountered in bringing these projects to fruition:
Revitalizing Agadir's Médina complex
Nestled to the southwest of Agadir, the Médina d’Agadir, also known as the Médina Polizzi, is a true masterpiece.
Rehabilitation of Kasbah Aghennaj
Located in the heart of Tiznit, close to the famous blue spring (Ain Zarqa or Ain Aqdim), Kasbah Aghennaj is a heritage gem, covering an area of 6704 m².
The Kasbah of Agadir Oufella
Listed as a historic monument in 1932 and 1944, the Kasbah bears witness to the greatness of the Saadian dynasty and all the communities that inhabited it. Today, the Kasbah is a place of living memory and cultural sharing.
